Aoyama Harp Celebration Concert featuring Judy Loman and MarikoAnraku

A special concert featuring renowned harpists
Judy Loman and Mariko Anraku

On November 1, the University of Toronto welcomes the arrival of “Princess Sakura,” a new harp donated to the Faculty of Music by the Aoyama Harp Company of Japan . The concert, titled Aoyama Harp Celebration, is presented in recognition of this significant gift and will celebrate the unveiling of the “Princess Sakura” with performances by two of the world’s outstanding harpists, U of T’s distinguished faculty Judy Loman, and renowned Japanese harpist Mariko Anraku, currently Associate Principal Harp of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra in New York . Mr. Kenzo Aoyama, Director of the Aoyama Harp Company, will be in attendance on this special occasion.

Caroline Lizotte: Raga, for two harps (Anraku and Loman)

A special performance of a new work for two harps arranged by Judy Loman (Anraku and Loman)
